Where my left leg joins to my hip/pelvis area I get sharp pain when i move. left cheek of by butt hurts. I also have a buzzing sensation in my left thigh which i read online means possible nerve damage or stress. sometimes it hurts down to my toes and heel.

Question by muzik: My dog is crying and whimpering when I touch his chest area..?
So 2 days ago I started to notice he wasn’t running around and going crazy as much. He usually sleeps on my bed and when i come home he jumps down, but I noticed.. he’s a afraid to jump down.. and sometimes when he’s sleeping he would just scream and cry.. As the owner.. i knew something was wrong.. So i started to check areas, where it could be hurting him.. and On his right side of his leg.. well upp chest near the join of his right top leg… when I touch it.. he screams like hell.. I don’t know if a bone has been crushed or whether there’s chest pain.. but obviously there is pain.. and somethings wrong.. Would surgery be alot if there was a problem with his bones or etc.?

One step at a time. He may have been bitten by something. He may have just pulled a muscle. Maybe he has dislocated or broken something but, it sounds to me like muscle strain. IF he has broken bones, it could cost between $ 500 & $ 1500 to reair depending on how bad the injury is. I would just take him for a check up. Let the vet decide what is happening. Hope he is ok.

Dog pool in Milwaukee area?

Question by almundgirl85: Dog pool in Milwaukee area?
I have a 1 yr old goldendoodle who was just diagnosed with hip dysplasia. I’m already doing the normal things to treat it, i.e. glucosamine, keeping weight down, keeping her active, etc, but I wanted to find a pool as well. It’s supposed to be an excellent way to get them low-impact exercise. I’ve tried looking on the internet, but I can’t seem to find anything in the immediate Milwaukee area. Does anyone know of a pool in the area? I have found underwater treadmills, but no pools, excepting one at Aunt B’s, outside of the Dells and Liberty Resort, outside of Green Bay. These are both more than an hour away. Thanks in advance!!!
FYI: 1- I got the dog from a friend, so I had no control over breeding, and 2 – many common purebred breeds have the same problem you have identified as a designer dog problem. It is, of course, important to go to a reputable breeder, but you can find a reputable breeder for both kinds of dogs: purebred and designer dog/mutt. I am somewhat annoyed with my dog always being discriminated against because she isn’t “pure”!

depeding upon how big ur dog is you could get one of those pools that u jump blow up…but its really cold outside right now so that might not be such a good idea…u could also try putting a large animals trough in you kitchen and holding her by the waist and just letting her paddle in it

Question by motherbear: Help! My dog is in pain, I live in a very rural area, what…?
What medications can I give my dog until I can get him in to see a vet? I have advil, ketoprofen, and tramadol. He is very old. I think he might be suffering from hip dysplasia too…Any suggestions?

He’s a small dog. not anymore than 8 #. Schauzer mix.

The vets are closed for the holidays. Live in rural area. No housecalls.

Thank you all for your input.
