Can I give my dog Aspirin?
Question by Jessica: Can I give my dog Aspirin?
My dog is a beagle/hound mix,11 years old(a bit overweight)and has a slipped disk in her back and sever arthritis. We took her to the vet and she prescribed her Rimadyl, but her prescription ran out a few days ago(and no refills). she’s in extreme pain. she yelps and screams when she moves and she won’t eat because she cant bend her neck or walk anywhere.
We have Tylenol,Motrin,Ibuprofen, and Aspirin. The vets office is closed so we can’t call her and ask.
what is safe to give her for now?
And no, we will NOT put her to sleep because of this. We’re trying to find other ways to get rid of this problem,so don’t say “your so inhumane, but her to sleep, blah blah blah”.
thank you ![]()
mhmm,im a lowlife for letting my animal live?
she is a very happy animal, shes just in pain.
so, are doctors “low lives” for trying to keep humans alive that are in sever pain and agony,or internally drowning, or having seizures every other day,or begging family and friends to kill them because of their pain?
its their professional job to keep them alive,so its my personal job to let my dog live and keep her as comfortable as possible.
please only post educated,helpful answers.
we had been giving her Aspirin before,so we’ll probably give it to her again.
I’m severely disappointed in everyone’s childish answers. think before you type, and read my entire post.

Did the vet say you can?
Its a shame that you are allowing your dog to suffer, and live in extreme agony..You are truly a lowlife.
The dog will always suffer even when you try to cover it up with medication. That is a shame that you allow her to live in this torment, you are a truthfully mindless soul ..
