Question by X: What do you think I should do, i only have a short time? ( dog related)?
I have a 12-14 year old dalmation( Im not sure how old he is he may be younger). He has arthritis, but other than that he is healthy.

Recently we moved to an apartment, instead of paying the $ 350 monthly pet deposit we left him with our grandma( that and he has trouble going up the stairs we live in the second story of the apartment complex). She has been living the dog outside which made his arthritis a bit worse. My parents have decided to put our dog to sleep. My mom later told me that me that if my grandma had been taking care of our dog that h could be nursed back to health. I am moving out and going to college, I am willing to take him with me and nurse him back to health.

I can’t let my best friend die when technically speaking he his healthy and letting him die becuase no one can take care of him.

Am o doin the righ thing or wrongg?

i think you are absolutely right, if your old enough (guessing you obviously are) then sure why not move out and take him.

when going to college make sure he still gets some attention because you will spend time studying etc…

i hope i helped, good luck!

Question by IM BACK ON YAHOO ANSWERS!!!: Do you think this poem is so sweet you could cry?(dog related)?
I cried on the first few sentences….;(

“Rescued Dog”, by Arlene Pace

Once I was a lonely dog, Just looking for a home. I had no place to go, No one to call my own. I wandered up and down the streets,
in rain in heat and snow. I ate what ever I could find, I was always on the go.

My skin would itch, my feet were sore,
My body ached with pain. And no one stopped to give a pat Or a gently say my name. I never saw a loving glance, I was always on the run. For people thought that hurting me was really lots of fun.

And then one day I heard a voice So gentle, kind and sweet, And arms so soft reached down to me And took me off my feet.
“No one again will hurt you Was whispered in my ear.” “You’ll have a home to call your own
where you will know no fear”

“You will be dry, you will be warm, you’ll have enough to eat” “And rest assured that when you sleep, your dreams will all be sweet”.
I was afraid I must admit, I’ve lived so long in fear. I can’t remember when I let A human came so near.

And as she tended to my wounds And bathed and brushed my fur She told me bout the rescue group And what it meant to her.
She said, “We are a circle, A line that never ends”. “And in the center there is you
protected by new friends”.

“And all around you are the ones that check the pounds, And those that share their home
after you’ve been found”. “And all the other folk are searching near and far. “To find the perfect home for you, where you can be a star”.

She said, “There is a family, that’s waiting patiently, and pretty soon we’ll find them,
just you wait and see”. “And then they’ll join our circle they’ll help to make it grow, so there’ll be room for more like you, who have no place to go”.

I waited very patiently, The days they came and went. Today’s the day I thought,
my family will be sent. Then just when I began to think It wasn’t meant to be, there were people standing there just gazing down at me.

I knew them in a heart beat, I could tell they felt it too. They said, “We have been waiting
for a special dog like you”. Now every night I say a prayer to all the gods that be. “Thank you for the life I live and all you’ve given me.
But most of all protect the dogs in the pound and on the street. And send a Rescue Person
to lift them off their feet”.

yes it makes me wanna cry, i cant bear to think of any animal going through this. *sniffs* good poem.

What do you think? Answer below!

I have a 7 month of St Bernard. He has bad hips AKA hip dysplasia(HD). His right is severe, his left is moderate/mild. Any tips, tricks, or any advice would be greatly appreciated. He doesnt show signs of pain at this point. He just favors one leg slightly when he walks and his hips “clack” together when we were training him to sit. When we would push on his hind end, you could feel and hear the bones “clack” when you pressed down. I am against surgery unless absolutely necessary.(they want to break the pelvis in several places) I am looking for anyone who has been through this recently. Anyone who may know anything about alternative medicine for animals. Acupuncture, herbs, suppliments, or therapy and where to get these things for animals. Any other suggestions will be a great help, no matter if its main stream or alternative. I’m just looking for all the options out there. Thank you.
